Our Vision & Values
Roehampton Church Forest School
Vision
Our vision is rooted in, 'How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity'.
Psalm 133:1
RCFS is a church school where everyone learns to be responsible, caring, fearless and secure, through God's love, who has given us all a fingerprint that no one else has, so that we can leave an imprint that no one else can.
What does it mean to be responsible, caring, fearless and secure?
R - We are Responsible by: being role models to younger pupils, looking after each other, taking care of playground equipment and helping our teachers around the school.
C - We are Caring by: nurturing someone when they are sad, bringing a pupil to a member of staff when they are hurt and playing with someone when they are feeling lonely.
F - We are Fearless by: learning to take measured risks at forest school, are not scared to do so and apply them into our daily lives.
S - We can feel Secure by: trusting the staff at our school, by talking to staff about any life problems we may have and how we feel. We know that they will always listen and help us whenever we need it.
By being responsible, caring, fearless and secure, we can live together as God's people in unity by:
- ensuring worship, prayer and celebration is at the centre of our school life
- fostering feelings of awe, wonder & delight of the world we live in
- encouraging individuality
- considering personal responses to moral issues and life experiences.
Communication with all children, parents, colleagues and the wider community along with our curriculum, policies and procedures are embedded and driven by our school vision and values. When decisions need to be made, we ask ourselves questions that link with, 'How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity.'
