Roehampton Church School is committed to improving outcomes and ensuring high expectations for all children, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).  There is an emphasis on inclusive teaching which enables all pupils to make the best possible progress in school and helps them to feel a valued member of the school community.

Full details of how children with SEND are supported and identified here at RCS can be found both in our Special Educational Needs (SEN) Policy and our Special Educational Needs Information Report. (Located at About Us/Policies No. 7 and 8)

We have a wide variety of support in place to support children with SEN at RCS, which includes the use of external agencies.  Some examples of support in place include: Numicon groups, Catch Up, Rapid Read, Social Communication groups, one-to-one Play Therapy, Teach Talk, Chatterbox, support from the Literacy/Numeracy Support Service, Occupational Therapy sessions and Self-Esteem groups.

The full range of support available through Wandsworth schools for children with SEN is published in the “Local Offer” which can be accessed through the Family Information Service.
